Ringing cell phone costs attorney in court

March 17, 2000 By admin

A ringing cellular telephone has cost the Clinton County Attorney 25-bucks. County Attorney Mike Wolfe was standing in court Thursday when the cell phone in his jacket rang. After Wolfe answered the call, the Judge took the phone. Once the hearing was over, the Judge demanded 25-dollars before he’d let Wolfe get his phone back. The Judge also warned Wolfe that if his phone rings again in court, the fine will be 50 bucks.
