At the boy’s state basketball tournament, West Delaware advanced to the 3-A title game with a 67-56 victory over Lemars. Todd Klostermann (kloh-stir-mun) led the Hawks with 24-points.West Delaware pulled away from a two point lead at the end of three quarters.Lemars coach Mike Storm said both teams left it on the court.West Delaware will play defending champion Davenport Assumption in the title game. The Knights trailed by five at the end of three but outscored Lewis Central 22-8 in the fourth quarter for a 62-53 win.Lewis Central coach Dick Wettengel said a shaky start in the fourth quarter was costly.Fort Dodge St.Edmond advanced to the 2-A title game by edging Rock Valley 49-45. Senior guard Jack Brownlee led St. Edmond with 27-points.Down two with under three minutes left St. Edmond forced a couple of turnovers to take the lead.
