Farmers rally in Washington, D.C.

Farmers from across the country are in Washington D-C today preparing for what’s being called the “Rally for Rural America.” Iowa Farmers Union President John Whitaker is leading a delegation of 50 Iowa farmers who’re participating in the rally.He says the farmers want to keep attention on the low commodity prices and how they’re impacting farmers Whitaker says they’ll visit federal officials and ask them to revamp the current farm bill to help alleviate problems with low commodity prices.The rally is tomorrow at 11 a.m. Iowa time on the mall of the U-S Capitol.
