Iowa baseball team hopes to gain maturity

The Iowa baseball team is 3-5 in the Big Ten after splitting a four-game weekend series at Ohio State. Third-year coach Scott Broghamer has a team of primarily freshman and sophomores and says considering their first eight league games have been on the road, the record is not that bad.Broghamer says while the Hawkeyes have a number of experienced players, the team is still young.Broghamer says while the Hawkeyes have had difficulty scoring runs at times, the defense has been solid.
