Drake starts spring football drills

The Drake football team is in the midst of spring drills. The Bulldogs were 7-4 last season and coach Rob Ash says there are a couple of areas the coaches are focusing on.Ash says with an experienced nucleus back the Bulldogs have lofty expectations but there are holes to fill.Quarterback Solon Bell suffered a season ending knee injury in the second game last year and Ash says after a redshirt he is back competing for the job. Ash says the players enjoy spring practice after going through winter workouts.
