Barnstormers hope Eddie Brown leads to touchdowns

The Iowa Barnstormers hope former Iowa State standout Eddie Brown can fill some big shoes at wide receiver this season. Brown joined the Barnstormers after spending ten years in the Canadian Football League and he replaces all-league performer Kevin Swayne, who will try to earn a spot on the San Diego Chargers.Iowa coach John Gregory says Brown has all the tools.Brown says he wasn’t sure how he would adjust from the large field of the C-F-L to the cozier confines of the arena league.Brown says during his years in the C-F-L he never imagined playing in the arena league. He says he used to laugh at the league until he actually started playing the game.The Barnstormers open the regular season Saturday night at Arizona.
