Central gets good early start in conference play

The Central College softball team is off to a 4-0 start in the Iowa Conference race heading into Saturday’s doubleheader at the University of Dubuque. The Dutch are 25-5 overall and coach George Wares says a pair of freshmen pitchers is a major reason for their success.Wares says a veteran supporting cast has helped the freshman pitchers gain confidence.Central, along with Coe and Simpson are unbeaten in what Wares says should be quite a chase to the title.
