Republicans call for tax cuts

Two dozen Iowa Republicans gathered on the statehouse steps on this federal “tax day” to call for cuts in state taxes. Iowa Republican party executive director Dee Stewart urges legislators to enact more tax cuts, although Republican leaders in the legislature say their goal this year is no more than 10-million dollars in tax relief.Your state income taxes, by the way, aren’t due ’til April 30th.
