April 21, 2000 By admin

Webster City High School students who didn’t feel comfortable going to class on yesterday’s one-year anniversary of the Colorado shootings volunteered for community service instead. Kent Harfst, of the Webster City Parks & Rec Commission, says the students planted trees along Brewer Creek.Harfst says the planting of those 700 trees was a nice way for students to put a positive spin on the dark memories of the date.Tomorrow, 2000 trees will be planted in Webster City as part of Earth Day.
