April 26, 2000 By admin

Council Bluffs police are looking for a man who’s been running a scam by renting houses he doesn’t own. Detective Pat Toscano says Ronald Trombla looked for vacant homes he could use to dupe renters. Once he found a home, he would change the locks and try to rent the home.He says Trombla took great lengths to make it look like a legitimate deal.even putting signs representing a fake company in the yards of the homes. The renters signed leases with Trombla and didn’t know he didn’t own the homes until they were later evicted.Trombla is charged with two counts of burglary, one count of theft and one charge of ongoing criminal conduct.
