Football standout will stay in the state

Lynnville-Sully’s Jeremy Van Soelen was an All-Stater in football and basketball and will continue his career at Northwestern College in Orange City. Van Soelen has signed to play football at Northwestern College, choosing the Red Raiders over Central College in Pella. He says he really liked the atmosphere at Northwestern.Van Soelen may also try to play basketball at Northwestern, although he says football is his first love. He says he’s not ready to give up basketball, and even has some thoughts of maybe trying baseball.Van Soelen says he was attracted to the past success of the Northwestern program.
