Student killed while trying to do a good deed

A Corwith-Wesley-Luverne high schooler died today while doing a community service project.Authorities say 16-year-old Kelly Russell Parks died as a result of an electrical accident. Parks was part of a crew of students painting, cleaning and planting trees in the city park in Corwith when the accident occurred. Counselors will be at the school tomorrow for Parks’ high school classmates.
