Luring people back to the state is the top priority of a plan being developed by the Governor’s Strategic Planning Council. The Council is meeting today in Storm Lake to prepare the “first draft” of its 10-year plan for the state.Council co-chair David Oman says unfortunately, about 10-thousand of the students who will graduate from Iowa colleges this month will leave the state. Oman says there are two ways to keep young people here, better paying jobs and a more vibrant and exciting state.The “Iowa 2010 Council” began its work last fall and will issue its recommendations in a couple of months.
