May 15, 2000 By admin

Two-point-one-million dollars is the amount an Iowa City Theatre group will have to raise the buy the “Englert Theatre” in Iowa City. The group’s fundraising effort will rely heavily on individual and corporate contributions according to spokesman Darrell Woodson, who says they’ll also apply for grant money. Woodson says the “Englert” would present smaller productions than those at the University of Iowa’s Hancher Auditorium. The group needs to raise the money by early November.
