May 15, 2000 By admin

The Wartburg baseball team will travel to Bloomington, Illinois, for an N-C-A-A division three regional this week. The Knights are the second seed in the four-team regional that includes Carthage, Aurora of Illinois and Westminster of Missouri. Wartburg coach Joel Holst says playing in a regional with just four teams is an advantage as they won’t have to play as many games.Holst says the regional includes some of the top teams in the Midwest.Holst hopes having a lot of experience in the regionals is a factor. He says it’s probably the best Wartburg team to enter a regional and that should give them confidence.
