May 17, 2000 By admin

An industrial accident may be to blame for the death of a Cedar Rapids city worker. A sewage treatment worker in Cedar Rapids died on the job yesterday from what may’ve been exposure to harmful gases. Donald Murphy was 44. He may have been killed by inhaling hydrogen sulfide, a natural gas emitted during the filtering of sewage sludge.
