Cut gas line forces another evacuation in Clinton County

For the second time in two days, a gas leak caused by clumsy construction crews has forced an evacuation in Clinton County on Tuesday. Tuesday’s incident forced residents of an apartment and employees of several Clinton businesses to evacuate. The crews did -not- call Great Plains Locating Service to find the location of buried lines before digging.A construction crew digging near Welton cut a natural gas line on Monday, forcing the evacuation of a nearby school..
