Storms drop damaging hail on eastern Iowa

May 17, 2000 By admin

Severe storms caused some damage in eastern Iowa this morning. Insurance agents in Delaware County say they’ve had at least 500 claims filed after storms dumped large hail on the county. The hail damaged homes, cars and crops. One agent says it’s the worst damage he’s seen and says the cost could run into millions of dollars.
