Barnstormers host biggest rival

The sport of football is known for intense rivalries and another one is featured Saturday night in Veterans Auditorium when the Iowa Barnstormers host the Milwaukee Mustangs in Arena Football League action. Iowa coach John Gregory says the rivalry has come about because these teams don’t like each other.The rivalry dates back to the Barnstormers’ first regular season game in Milwaukee. The Mustang owners guaranteed a win, then had to refund the fans’ money after the Barnstormers won the game.Iowa lineman Gary Howe says the rivalry goes beyond the players on the field to the coaching staff.
