Buena Vista College to go wireless

May 22, 2000 By admin

Buena Vista College in Storm Lake will become the first wireless computer campus in the nation next fall. B-V President Fred Moore says they’re teaming up with Gateway computers to give all 14-hundred students and faculty members notebook computers. Moore says the computers will give 24-hour access to University resources and the Internet. When classes begin in August, students will be able to collaborate on projects, access the library and send and receive e-mail from anywhere on campus. Moore says Gateway will replace the mobile computers every two years to keep up with technology.
