Iowa small business owners can learn on-line

May 24, 2000 By admin

Small business owners across Iowa can take part in a series of “web-cast” seminars on their computers today. In past years, the seminars were offered in a limited number of places via satellite, which forced people who wanted to take part to leave work and go to a site for several hours. Dave Lentell is spokesman for the Iowa office of the Small Business Administration, which is hosting the seminars. He says the first one begins at 9 a-m and is entitled “e-Small Business Challenges and Opportunities.” He says there are two other seminars available today to anyone who would like to watch via the world wide web. To view the webcast, surf to www.sba.gov and click on the icon that reads “SBA Celebrates Small Business Week.”
