Warner not worried about new contract

May 29, 2000 By admin

St.Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner says he is leaving contract negotiations with the team up to his agent. The former U-N-I and Iowa Barnstormer led the Rams to a victory in Super Bowl thirty-four this past season and was named the N-F-L most valuable player. He says he’s confident they’ll come up with a long term deal so he can stay in St. Louis.Warner says the Rams have sent some signals that they are uncertain if he can continue at the level he played last year. He says that may be a ploy to get him to take less money. Warner says everywhere he’s played he’s been successful and won football games. He says he hopes he can continue to do that in St. Louis.
