It’s free fishing weekend

Iowans who love to fish, or don’t even know if they like to fish, can angle up to the state’s lakes and streams this weekend. The state’s annual “Free Fishing Weekend” is underway through Sunday statewide, according to Marian Conover at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.they’re waving the license requirement for fishing this weekend. Conover says there’s always a lot of interest in the event.This is the 15th annual weekend where fishing license fees are -not- required statewide.
