Salem says the Congressional Small Business Summit has eight items on its agenda. He’ll be involved in the health care and tax discussions and there’ll also be discussions on things such as e-commerce, the worker shortage, social security and the budget surplus. Salem says he has a couple of items he’d like to see happen on the tax front, repeal of the inheritance tax, lowering the capital gains tax.The participants will be able to discuss any tax issue they want.Salem says it’s important that Congress does what it can to pass legislation to help small businesses, as he says “small business is the engine that has driven the economy.”The summit begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday.
