Charges increased against Sheldon man in son’s death

June 6, 2000 By admin

The death of a northwest Iowa infant has brought much stiffer criminal charges against the baby’s father. The two-month-old Sheldon boy was put in the hospital last month after being shaken and thrown, then he -died- several days later. The boy’s father was being held on child endangerment charges. 39-year-old Jeffrey Chrestiansen is now charged with first-degree murder. His bond was increased to 130-thousand dollars.
