The Cedar Rapids entertainment arena known as “Five Seasons Center” is no more. It’s name is now “U-S Cellular Center” in the first corporate sponsorship of a public facility in the state of Iowa. Cedar Rapids Mayor Lee Clancey says the deal will become a template for the naming rights of other projects. U-S Cellular will pay two-million dollars over five years for the naming rights. Clancy says the money will help pay for improvements to the facility which will in turn help in attracting events and conventions.
