Traffic stop turns into drug bust

June 7, 2000 By admin

A routine traffic stop turned into a large drug bust yesterday along Interstate 80 in western Iowa’s Pottawattamie County. From the back of the pickup truck, State troopers seized 260 pounds of marijuana worth nearly 300-thousand dollars and they also found 24-thousand dollars in cash. The driver, 42-year-old Skip Diem of Flint, Michigan, is being held on felony drug charges.
