The month of June has been declared by state agriculture officials as Iowa Strawberry Month. What better place to celebrate than Strawberry Point in northeastern Iowa. The town is holding its 31st annual Strawberry Days this weekend. Chamber of Commerce president Ray Schirmer says the events kick off this afternoon.Schirmer says two of the celebration’s more popular activities take place tomorrow afternoon, the parade and crowning of “Little Miss Strawberry.”Other activities include the Backbone Classic bike ride, a car cruise, music in the park, a chicken barbecue and an arts and crafts show.
