Marijauna operation found after domestic assault report

June 12, 2000 By admin

A domestic dispute leads to drug charges for a Colfax man. A 19-year-old woman called authorities to report her boyfriend had assaulted her along Interstate-80 near Mitchellville on Sunday morning. While investigating the complaint, troopers say they discovered 31-year-old Terry Bailey had been growing marijuana in his basement. Investigators say they found marijuana seeds, lights, fertilizer and timing devices for the pot-growing operation. Bailey is being held in the Jasper County jail on felony drug charges related to the marijuana — as well as a domestic assault charge.
