A Lincoln, Nebraska, company voluntarily recalled over three TONS of ground beef distributed in Iowa and Nebraska, but only a fraction has not been used. The meat from the Del Gould plant in Lincoln was purchased by restaurants, bars and cafes in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Del Gould president Larry Feerhusen (fair’-howzen) says by 10 o’clock this morning, they had contacted all their customers. Most of the 71-hundred pounds of ground beef under recall has been consumed. Just 270 pounds was not. Feerhusen says there have been no reports of e-coli bacteria poisoning.Feerhusen says restaurants know how to cook meat to remove the danger of e-coli.
