As the sport of golf continues to gain popularity, more and more courses are being constructed across the Hawkeye state. Two new courses open next week. The Harvester course southwest of Marshalltown will have 54-holes when completed, along with residential housing and recreational opportunities. The first 18-hole course opens July 1st and owner Dixon Jensen says his goal is to make Harvester one of the top public courses in the country.Jensen says constructing 54-holes shows just how popular the game of golf is right now.The Brooks Golf Course in Okoboji has been around since the 1930’s. Next week, a new, nine-hole course opens to bring the total to 27-holes.
