Gas prices drop slightly

June 29, 2000 By admin

Gasoline prices are on the decline, just in time for the July 4th Holiday which is considered the kick-off of the summer driving season. Iowa Department of Natural Resources fuel market analyst Ward Lenz says it’s “Economics 101” — a bunch of gasoline was shipped into the Midwest in the past few days and since there’s greater supply, prices are going down.Lenz says prices should be in the dollar-60 range by the end of July. Don’t expect it to fall to a buck a gallon, as he says it’s hard for the market to maintain that price for long.
