June 30, 2000 By admin

Calls to “Twilight Lounge” and “Confidential Connection” showed up on a western Iowa County’s telephone bill, and an elected county official is a suspect. Crawford County’s treasurer is suspected of making the phone calls to a dating service. Crawford County Auditor Ceceilia Fineran says she started an investigation into the calls at the beginning of April.Crawford County treasurer Allen Hansohn says he’ll repay the hundreds of dollars in personal phone calls he made on the county’s dime, if he made them. An audit found the 46-year-old treasurer was making up to seven calls each day to expensive, long-distance dating services. Hansohn was elected County Treasurer in 1994. He’s married, with children.
