Key piece of highway in eastern Iowa gets lots of attention

Law officers in eastern Iowa are paying close attention to one stretch of roadway as the Fourth of July holiday gets underway. Davenport police lieutenant Jerry Behning says Highway 61 between Dubuque and Keokuk is one of the most dangerous in Iowa. Behing says the highway will be swarming with cops this weekend.Behning says drivers need to look at their task as a full-time occupation while they’re on the road.The Highway has been the site of numerous accidents in recent years.
