Boone and Grinnell square off in softball with title on the line

Two rated teams meet tonight in a Class 3-A softball matchup. Grinnell is ranked 8th and Boone 15th coming into the game. Grinnell Coach Jill Hulsing says the game is key for the Little Hawkeye Conference title, as they’re almost assured the title with a win. Grinnell has lost only two games in the conference — one was a 9-0 shutout by Boone. Hulsing says that game was a wake up call for her team.Boone has lost only three games in the conference.
