Horton hears a call to be ISU’s coach

Jay Horton has been named the new head men’s golf coach at Iowa State University. The Ames native has been one of the state’s most well known golfers and instructors and spent the past season as interim coach. Horton says it was not until recently he decided to make coaching a profession.Horton says it is possible for northern schools to compete against the schools in the south.Horton says with the increased popularity of the game, there are players in all parts of the country.
