Authorities have not yet released the names of the woman and two children whose bodies were pulled from the Missouri River early this morning. Witnesses say the woman drove a pickup truck straight into the water at a park north of Council Bluffs last night and it quickly sank as the children screamed. Council Bluffs Police Sergeant Chad Meyers confirmed the recovery before 4 a-m.Meyers says the recovery of the pickup and the three bodies was very hard on some members of the search crew.Fishermen witnessed the truck speed into the river last night about 5:15 and say it sank so quickly, no rescue attempt was possible. Meyers says the recovery took nearly 11 hours and was difficult work for the dive team. He says the river currents made it hard to work under the water.Police have not said where the woman is from, nor have they said if the children were her own.
