Boswell laments lack of action on prescription drug plan

Iowa’s only democrat in the U-S House is lamenting another failed attempt by his party to change the plan for covering prescription drugs under Medicare.Congressman Leonard Boswell says the failure of an amendment adding the coverage to the marriage tax penalty bill was a lost opportunity. Boswell says he’s losing hope Congress can doing anything about the situation.A republican backed prescription drug plan has passed the House, but democrats say it is too expensive and full of false promises.
