Heating oil prices going up

Iowans who use heating oil to fire their furnace will face much higher costs this winter. Ward Lenz tracks fuel prices for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.He says the price of a gallon of heating oil is about 30 to 40 cents higher this year, and Lenz says Iowans who use the fuel to heat their homes will suffer sticker shock.About seven percent of Iowans use heating oil in their furnaces.Lenz says low-income Iowans can apply for government assistance to help pay for the expensive heating oil.
