John Deere building a collectors center

A new center planned across the river from Iowa in Moline, Illinois will celebrate the heritage of the John Deere tractor. Deere Spokesman Ken Golden says they’re building a multi-million dollar collectors center.Golden says the center will celebrate all kinds of John Deere collectors.Many of the Deere green and yellow tractors were produced in Iowa and shipped to farms across the world. Golden says people have a special fondness for the early two-cylinder model tractors that were known as “poppin’ Johnnies.”The new John Deere Collectors Center is expected to open early next summer.
