Passenger dies in motorcycle chase

July 17, 2000 By admin

Authorities have released the name of a woman killed in motorcycle accident Sunday in eastern Iowa. The Linn County Sheriff’s office says 23-year old Deisy Pan-Sanchez was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by 28-year old Marcel Washington. A deputy tried to stop the Washington for speeding east of Marion, but he lead the deputy on a chase. The deputy eventually gave up, and a short time later, the bike went off the road and crashed. Authorities say Pan-Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. Washington was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
