Des Moines boy drowns

July 24, 2000 By admin

A family outing to a popular swimming hole turned tragic in Des Moines yesterday afternoon. Four-and-a-half-year-old Wyatt Green drowned in Gray’s Lake at about 4:30 Sunday afternoon. The boy disappeared and his parents were searching for him when other swimmers found a body underwater. His father rushed to the spot and pulled him from the lake. Some by-standers performed C-P-R until paramedics arrived, but the boy could not be revived.
