Fire damages Carroll pub

The State Fire Marshal is trying to determine the cause of a fire in the western Iowa town of Carroll. Fire Chief Greg Schreck says the fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the Court Street Restaurant and Pub.Schreck says the restaurant is located on the lower level of the building and there are offices upstairs.Several of those offices suffered smoke damage. Schreck says there were no injuries. The building’s owner says they’ll have to have it inspected to determine the amount of damage.
