ACT opens job center

A company that’s best know for testing high school students is branching out to work with graduates and others seeking jobs. A-C-T Incorporated opened its first job center in Cedar Rapids this week. Spokesman Ken Gullette.says companies can use the center to improve their workforce through training.He says individuals can use the center to advance an old career — or start a new one.Gullette says the center developed out of tests A-C-T created to gauge workers.Gullette says they’ll soon open centers in New York and Seattle. He says they plan to open some 200 centers nationwide. The Cedar Rapids center is located at Kirkwood Community College.
