Harkin happy to be considered as VP

Reports from the Al Gore campaign say Iowa Senator Tom Harkin is not on the list of four finalists to be the democrat’s presidential running mate. During a stop in Creston, Harkin said he was unaware that he hadn’t made the cut.Harkin says that’s okay and he’s just glad to have been considered. Harkin says he’s not disappointed to stay in the Senate, as he likes his job there and still has a certain degree of anonymity.Harkin made his remarks during a stop in Creston to talk about prescription drugs.Mark Saylor, KSIB, Creston
