Former Cyclone assistant returns to Iowa

August 8, 2000 By admin

A former assistant coach at Iowa State has been named the new defensive coordinator at Morningside College. Lindsay Hughes has 25-years of coaching experience at the collegiate level and served under Jim Walden at I-S-U with Morningside head coach Dave Elliott. Hughes was out of coaching when Elliott called with the offer. Hughes was living in Seattle and had hoped to get back into coach at the University of Washington or with the Seattle Seahawks, but the coaches of both programs were fired. Hughes is glad to be back in coaching.
