The annual Sweet Corn Days parade was cut short yesterday in the northeast Iowa town of Lime Springs when a downtown hardware store caught fire and was destroyed. It’s believed an electrical problem started the blaze in the Howard County town. No one is reported hurt. Six area fire departments responded. A nearby hair styling shop and the Post Office were damaged.
