Shooting leaves one dead in Council Bluffs

One man is dead another critically wounded after a confrontation at a Council Bluffs’ hotel.Council Bluffs police Sergeant Mike Thomas says the shooting followed a fight outside the Chalet Inn.One of the suspects has tentatively been identified as 19-year-old Shane Vandervort. His father, Gary, says he talked with him on the phone and he may be injured.Sergeant Thomas says one of those shot was taken to the hospital in a private car, and was later pronounced dead.
