One of the Iowa delegates at the Democratic National Convention got the ear of the President’s spokesman yesterday. Connie Bear-King of Sioux City approached Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart with a specific concern about the welfare of Native American kids. Bear-King says Lockhart was approachable and kind. Bear-King is the executive Director of the office of Indian Education in Sioux City which tutors Native American students in area schools.
