The defense has rested in the Heidi Watkins murder trial. The Spirit Lake woman is charged with killing her two-year old daughter Shelby Duis. A tape of the 9-1-1 call Duis made on the January day Duis died was played today. A psychiatric expert also testified today. Court has adjourned for the day and will reconvene tomorrow when the prosecution will call rebuttal witnesses, closing arguments are expected to follow.
